A few Fridays ago, we made the long drive down to Miami to visit the enrollment center for the Global Entry program. When you live in Florida, you are expected to have traveled to every major part of the state, but the truth is, neither Michael nor I have really spent time in Miami.
But once we arrived, I couldn’t help but wonder why.
Two nights and two days aren’t nearly enough to see the city – we barely even scratched the surface of the places we visited. Parking in Miami is challenging, so once we found a spot, we left it for as long as possible to avoid having to find another. We lucked out that our Airbnb on Brickell Key was within walking distance to a lot of downtown spots, making going out for dinner and drinks much more pleasant. Still, we managed to make it to South Beach (twice!), Wynwood, and out for some great Cuban food and seafood. AND (this is a big one!) we only listened to Will Smith once.
With such a leisurely trip, I can’t in good conscience assemble a full travel guide to this Florida hotspot – but I am more than happy to share a few photos:
