Happy Thursday!

I’m hopping on quickly today to share that Universal Standard has just launched their Extra Credit Sale!

Touted as “the world’s most inclusive fashion brand”, Universal Standard is marking down their extra stock of premium denim, coats, athleisure, sweaters, dresses, bottoms, and more to prices starting at just $18.

This post contains affiliate links and I may receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking one of these links. The products shown here were gifted in exchange for a social post, however, this post is not sponsored.

The catch? Available sizes are limited, and the sale only runs from today, May 12, through Tuesday, May 17. But to help make this sale even easier on the wallet, wayward readers can take an extra 10% off with code INFS-AMBWAYWARD.

I don’t know about you, but I am in a full spring/summer wardrobe mindset over here – so I know it can be challenging to consider purchasing any type of cold-weather garments when we’re all craving a bit of sunshine on our skin. Today I thought I would share how to style just two of the many, many pieces included in the sale for now and for later: the Sally Liquid Jersey Shirtdress (was $120, now $28 $25.20 with code INFS-AMBWAYWARD) and the Dylan Luxe Twill Joggers (was $168, now $38 $34.20 with code INFS-AMBWAYWARD). Although these pieces are seemingly fall/winter items, a few easy swaps and adjustments bring them to the present:

Sally Liquid Jersey Shirtdress

These are just two of the many ways you can style this versatile shirtdress; you could also consider throwing a chunky knit sweater over the buttoned dress in the depths of winter or unbuttoning it to pair with denim and your favorite tank or tee in the fall and spring. The stretchy, drapey fabric hugs and skims in all the right places, and the buttons along the side allow you to control just how much leg you want to show. It’s also ideal for a WFH lifestyle, because it’s as comfortable as your favorite nightgown.

Dylan Luxe Twill Joggers*

Pants may not be quite as versatile as a shape-shifting dress, but the cut of a pair of joggers does allow for a bit of play. Instead of going for full-on athleisure, I’ve paired these classic black joggers with a tank and strappy leather sandals for late spring and early fall days, and with a chic sweater and heels for when the temperatures dip a little. Personally, I am drawn to the idea of pairing these slick-yet-sporty pants with my oversized blazer as an unexpected suit.

*a note on sizing: both items shown are a 3XS and my current measurements are (BWH) 37″-28″-41.5″ and I am 5’4″ tall. According to the size chart, I should take a 2XS in each piece, however, I like the slightly fitted look of the next size down. If it’s your first time ordering, be sure to compare your measurements to Universal Standard’s size chart, as their sizing works a little differently. The brand places size Medium at the average women’s size, which is size 18. From there, sizes are grades up or down. Check out the chart below to see how this works:
